But even Adele has dipped her foot in the online dating pool, signing up for eHarmony after a nasty break-up. We might be inclined to think that online dating is easier for A-listers, but the ten-times Grammy winner tells a different tale: “I just signed up for eHarmony, I can’t put a photo of myself, so I don’t get any emails.”

In 2014, married British singer Lily Allen caused a commotion by announcing that she had signed up for the popular dating app Tinder. Tweeting “Just discovered tinder. *waves goodbye to life*. Whilst it’s likely that Allen was only using the app for a bit of a giggle (it is notorious for its chat-up fails and creepy come-ons) fans were still incredibly distressed at the singer/mom’s revelation.
