According to the Blackfish documentary, fishermen allegedly stole baby whales from the sea and decided to sell them for money at Sea World. Sheila’s past is tragic, but not out of the ordinary. Almost all of these species are neglected and live short, unhappy lives as a result of their constant exploitation for entertainment. Sheila’s rescuers hoped she wouldn’t suffer the same fate as the others.

Handing Over To Experts

Because she was in such bad shape, the US Department of Agriculture decided to give Sheila to the In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Education Centre, an animal welfare organization. It’s a business that assists stranded animals in getting back on their feet and receiving treatment. The news hasn’t been kind this week. If Sheila’s health did not improve, In Sync stated that they would seriously consider euthanizing her. Sheila was almost certain to pass away.
