The Night Shift is a comedy TV show that was released in the middle of 2014. Brendan Fehr chose a tough decision to play a gay role, Dr. Drew Alister. With all the scenes that he filmed, he realized that portraying someone who was not really like him in real life – well, because he had always been a straight person – was very difficult and was a wrong decision. That was the moment that made himself promise not to take and accept such a role again ever in his entire career.

Luke Grimes – True Blood
True Blood is a horror TV show that has spooked thousands of people ever since it was released in the middle of 2008. The show began having Luke Grimes portray a gay role in the character of James Kent. After portraying a gay role for six seasons, Grimes decided to quit and that forced the directors and producers of the show to recast. Turns out that Luke Grimes lied in everybody’s faces as he really left because he was not comfortable playing a gay character – he really could not do it. People, especially the fans and most of his ex co-stars in the show, expressed all of the disappointment they were feeling not just because Luke Grimes was homophobic, but also because he said that he left the show because of conflict in his schedule – well, he lied.
