Emraan Hashmi is an Indian film actor loved by many. All throughout his career in the industry, he had already received several awards from the movies he starred in such as Murder 2, The Body, and Jannat. That just proved how great and talented he was as an actor. He could literally do everything and anything for his career until a director tried to offer him a gay role. Emraan Hashmi immediately refused to take the role because he did not want to do it. He thought of his fans – there was a very high possibility that seeing him in a film portraying such a character would make most of them uncomfortable.

The Young and Restless is a soap opera that was launched in 1973. It began with Chris Engen, originally playing the role of Adam Newman, but ended with Justin Hartley portraying the character. In the set of the opera, as soon as Chris Engen saw the script and learned that he was supposed to kiss a co-star of the same sex, he freaked out and left. This forced the directors and everyone behind the camera to recast. There were really no explanations needed – he could not kiss a person of the same sex. He could not take the idea of portraying a gay character.
